SYMPTOMS AND MALADIES

WHICH CAME FIRST?

The DISEASE or the GLUTEN CAUSING the DISEASE!

AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES such as Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteo Arthritis, Hypo and Hyper-Thyroid, Sjogren’s, Dermatomyositis, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, Endometriosis, and others are being highly associated with gluten.

Celiac Disease is the only autoimmune disease
with a known cause:
GLUTEN

It appears that gluten may be causing these other diseases, as many of them get better when the toxic gluten is removed from the diet.

AT RISK groups: those with Down’s, Turner’s, and William’s Syndrome; those with Type 1 Diabetes and Thyroid issues have a greater chance of developing CD than the general population. It is now recommended that those with Type 1 Diabetes be screened for CD.

There is an increased risk of CANCERS:

Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Adenocarcinoma of the small intestine, and Throat and Esophageal Cancers. The words cancer and lymphoma are appearing very frequently in research publications over the last few years, but some of this BIG C (cancer) research associated with gluten has been around since the 60’s. It is amazing information that is not making headline news.

Many ORGAN complications are associated with gluten:

  • HEART (autoimmune cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, and more)
  • LIVER (autoimmune hepatic liver, sclerosing cholangitis, high liver enzymes, and more)
  • GALLBLADDER
  • SPLEEN
  • SKIN (dermatitis herpetiformis, psoriasis, eczema, and more)
  • KIDNEY
  • PANCREAS and more

NEUROLOGICAL and CEREBRAL maladies abound:

  • ATAXIA (balance issues)
  • NEUROPATHIES
  • SCHIZOPHRENIA
  • SEIZURES
  • MIGRAINES & HEADACHES
  • DEMENTIA, MEMORY LOSS & ALZHEIMER’S
  • MS, HUNTINGTON’S & PARKINSON’S
  • ADD, ADHD, AUTISM & ASPERGER’S
  • BRAIN FOG, IRRITABILITY, BEHAVIORIAL ISSUES & more

ANEMIAS, BLOOD DISEASES, OSTEOPENIA, OSTEOPOROSIS, BONE and MUSCLE PAIN, and CONNECTIVE TISSUE DISORDERS

INFERTILITY in males and females, MISCARRIAGES, PREGNANCY ISSUES, PREMATURE BIRTHS, BIRTH DEFECTS, DEVELOPMENTAL AND LEARNING DISABILITIES, DELAYED PUBERTY, and MENSES ISSUES

SINUS, ASTHMA, and other RESPIRATORY ISSUES, ALLERGIES (seasonal, animal, dust, mold, and food), VITAMIN DEFICIENCIES and general all-around poor health

Over 300 symptoms and maladies are linked to gluten.
